When was the last time someone hurt your feelings? What is the appropriate action to take?

It’s been a long time since I had my feelings hurt.  I’m pretty accepting these days that I have my defects of character and that from time to time they will be pointed out to me.  The appropriate action used to be to scratch the paint, slash the tires, and fill the gas tank of the offender’s car with sugar, but I hope I’ve matured a bit since then.  If my feelings are hurt enough the appropriate action might be to mention that this person hurt my feelings.  Sometimes inaction is appropriate.

Love,

Jon P.

It's been areally long time for this as well. I'm guessing they were hurt by my sister because she's always been THAT person that has no filter and speaks in negative ways and most of the time I simply look at the source and go into Ignore Mode. I have done lots of suggesting that she needs to adjust her temperment where family is concerned to no avail and I made the decision that it's simply not worth getting upset or losing sleep over anymore. If someone ruffles my feathers enough these days I speak up and tell them that what they did wasn't appropriate and give them the opportunity to apologize and make amends.
