Friday before last as a matter of fact.   We were hurrying to get a big mailing project out, the addressing clerk told me earlier in the week that he needed to do the addressing all at the same time instead of breaking it into smaller bits and mailing it out as it got done.   Well an hour and a half before the end of the day Friday, he decided he was done for the day and sat surfing the internet.   I asked if the mailing was done and he said no, there were about 1700 left and he would get them Monday morning.   Well that ticked me off no end and I let him know it in no uncertain terms.   There was no real resolution, the rest of the mailing didn’t get done until Monday morning, but the addressing clerk has been exceeding helpful and has been doing more than usual the last week.  We’ll see how long it lasts.

Love,

Jon P.

My first thought...I don't really get angry.  Second thought... Darn it!  There are too many deaths and too many people with cancer and too many tragic accidents and I don't like it!  I cannot do anything to help or prevent any of it.
Third thought...I have too many friends.  Other people don't seem to attend as many funerals or have as many friends in the hospital or with horrible diseases!  Even my sponsor thinks that!

Today I am grateful to have so many people that I care about in my life and I just have to deal with life on life's terms!

BTW, one of the friends is Sue who was in ICU in the heart hospital in Wichita, KS, is now in a rehab hospital in Eldorado and she could use a little more prayer from y'all.  Maybe soon she will be back to the QOD.

My sponsor Cathy has breast cancer. My first sponsor has had to put his wife in the nursing home with Alzheimers and he is having heart problems. Out friend in the program, Bob is battling amyloid and cancer and Amy has sarcoidosis and Brenda is struggling with Rheumatoid Arthritis as am I and my first ex-husband was battling cancer too, but finally got a clean checkup!  His wife was one of my favorite Alanons who I've known and loved for years long before recovery. So a week after his good checkup after 2 years of chemo and radiation, they had a car accident and he was killed!  Close friends from NA lost their son to an unknown inoperable brain tumor suddenly a week before his third birthday. And a great nephew of my husband's who in kindergarden just had a second surgery to remove a tumor near his brain stem!
But my life is definitely a great blessing and I try to be of service to all I can!

Peace, Out!

I've contiplated this question for a couple of days now and haven't really remembered the last time I got angry at a particular individual or set of circumstances. I guess the power of positive thinking and learning to turn things over on a regular basis as well as prayer and meditation with a dose of Acceptance thrown in WORKS !!

Have a great day Everyone,

ODAT
