What have you learned about detaching from anger so it doesn't become resentment? How can I avoid resentments?

I am very slowly learning to look at what is behind my anger, at why I am angry, and seeing if I have any part in that anger.  More often than not it is caused by my unreasonable expectations and when I can get to that point it is much easier to let go of the anger so that it doesn’t become a resentment.  Prayer, meditation, staying positive, grateful, and humble, all help me avoid having resentments.

Love,

Jon P.

I gave up staying angry more than 24 hours when I started doing a regular 10th step inventory and learned the serenity derived from turning all that stuff over to my H.P. and letting it go. Prayer and meditation and praying for those annoying individuals keeps me from developing a resentment as I know those are killers in disguise.
