Stop harmful human trafficking laws (Bill S-224)

 

Bill S-224 - a Bill to amend human trafficking laws, is quickly making its way through a House of Commons Parliamentary Subcommittee. The Bill promises to cause harm and human rights violations to many communities. It has implications for and harms workers in all industries (particularly those who are Indigenous, Black, racialized, poor and migrant) by casting the net of criminalization far too wide. In particular, removing the “threat to safety” requirement will exacerbate the conflation of sex work and human trafficking.

 

Please sign this petition : Petition : Say No to Bill S-224 to help us stop this harmful law.
