Updates of events meeting on 17th jan

DOH BTCM:

1.The coordinators proposed the idea of making 2 chairs ,a bench and The IITM logo as their model.

2.Formwork order is to be given by 18th.

3.Coordinators were asked  to meet Gettu sir to know about murals.

4. The formwork must be ready by next week.

IDP:

1.The coordinators were asked to get the contacts of companies from profs.

2.The core asked the coordinators to finish finalising the problem statement by next friday.

DOH STRUCTURAL:

1.Coordinators finalized on idea of constructing a building in which floors rotate with different angular velocity.

2.they were also asked to meet prof.Arul jayachandaran.

3. they were asked to confirm about constructing earthquake resistant structure with prof. CVR murthy.

DOH TRANSPO:

1.Coordinators decided to work on traffic signal light timer.

2.they were asked to again meet prof.Lalitha devi.

1.Coordinator have met arul jayachandran sir  on 16/01/2013, will be ready with the questions related structural analysis on 24th january.

2.She got appointment to meet prof.sachin gunthe for envt related questions and another prof in hydraulics.

3.Still 3 more dept(btcm, geotech and transport ) to cover.

SCHOOL KIDS FESTIVAL:

1.Coordinators have met prof.arul jayachandran on 16/01/2013, he gave a new idea about buiding a shelter.

2.they have collected the list of colleges to cover.

   3.Have mailed the prof.ashwin mahalingam and prof.arun menon for appointment and ideas.

1.the coordinators have met prof.ashwin mahalingam and have prepared the final problem statement after multiple discussions with the prof.

2.the write up for the event on the website,the professors who are judging the event,and the prize money is left.

CONCRETE CHALLENGE: 

1.Coordinators have met Prof. Ravindra Gettu and Prof. Rajgopal and proposed ideas involving durability test and Canoe, But due to feasibility and problems regarding test, those are rejected. Finally,Strength of cylinders will be checked.

2. Mould materials are ready and mould have to be ready by 21st Jan.

3. Problem Statement should be finalized by 27th January.

MODELLING: 

1.Prof. Rupen Goswami and Prof. Mathews are met and coordinators decided to test model on earthquake decking

2.Requirements about materials have to be finalized by 21st January.

3.Model should be prepared by 25th January.

CAD CONTEST:

1.coordintors have met Prof. Arun Menon and Prof. Manu Santhanam and have discussed how the event should be conducted.

2.They also decided on the problem statement which has to be finalised after the profs acceptance.

3.Deadline for problem statement and deciding on the judge's is 23rd January.

 

LECTURE SERIES:

1.The coordinator has not done any work yet, he did not even meet any prof.

2.He was told to meet the profs and decide whom all he should be contacting by 25th January.
