Yes please, maybe it can help. Also, i'd like to know what notification engine you are using and what is your compiler version.
Yes: no error. gdb say "program finished normally". It also shows that
QtCoreApplication::exec() finishes orderly and calls the destructor of
the QMpdClient class.

I'm using QMPDClient notification engine
If notifications are disabled, the program doesn't terminate.
With Freedesktop notification the program terminates, but I also get a
message on the terminal
DBus notify failed, falling back to custom notifier.
