Dear QMCPACK team,

The current build script for QMCPACK on Summit still points to the old filesystem (alpine) for the llvm library and as this is no longer accessible, I am not able to compile/run QMCPACK on Summit.

Do you have a new place for the private llvm library on alpine2 and can you provide an updated build script that will work on Summit?

FYI, I have tried to build using the old modules with "module load DefApps-2023" and the more recent version of llvm 16.0.0 available on Summit and it doesn't work (Your system and GNU compiler are using glibc 2.22 or 2.23 which contains a buggy libmvec…).

Commenting out llvm, just to see what happens, shows up another error related HDF5 (even though it is the same version as was used for previous working compilation).

Thanks in advance!

Yasmine

Unfortunately I don't have access to SummitPlus.
`Your system and GNU compiler are using glibc 2.22 or 2.23 which contains a buggy libmvec` is a check only applied when using GNU compiler. Make sure you are using LLVM.
If you need help on CMake, please provide full CMake printout and output/error logs mentioned at the end of failed CMake invocation.

Yes, I see that Clang compiler is not being invoked but I've tried different ways of loading the available LLVM libraries on Summit, to no avail. Since you don't have access to SummitPlus, it might be difficult to reproduce the issue and the OLCF support desk is giving it a go now. If they find a solution, I will share it here. I will keep you posted.

Just to update: the QMCPACK team have had to build their own libraries on SummitPlus and have a working version with build script, that may become available on the latest dev versions.
