Twitter's Streaming APIs

It says in the documentation that these APIs are not like regular REST resources. They depend on establishing a long-lived HTTP connection and they push data to the client as it comes along.
Is it possible to use such a thing with ql.io, or only regular REST resources?

what is your use case?
do you want ql.io to stream data return from twitter API? Do you expect to perform join and other SQL-like operations on multiple streamed data sources? Thanks!
