I am very new with Qlab, but I love it!! I am doing a juggling show on
stage and I am running all my sound with the laptop.
Here's my issue:
Audio cue 1
Audio cue (drop)
Audio cue 2
I want to fire Audio cue 1, than if I go until the end of the cue, I
go to Audio cue 2. But, if I need the Audio cue (drop) I can use it
until Audio cue 1 finishes.
Is it clear?
Can I do that simple?
Thanks for your help.
Bob

You could put all your audio cues in order without an (drop) cues.
Audio cue 1
Audio cue 2
Audio cue 3
etc....
Then put your stop / fade "drop" cues at the end of your audio cue list &
assign them to key strokes like,
1, 2, 3, 4, etc
or
assign a single keystroke to the STOP ALL command. It will stop anything
that is currently playing if you press it (set up in system preferences).
or just hit ESC anytime you need to get out of a cue.
Lots of options. You could even do it with your foot wirelessly if you
really want to get fancy.
or make yourself a trigger than you bounce your ball on to stop the cue.
Lots of options.

There doesn't seem to be a STOP ALL option under KEY MAP under workspace
preferences. Maybe there could be in the future.
You can also put all your audio cues in a group Bob & then target that
group with a single STOP cue (maybe has to be outside the group).
Assign that STOP CUE to a key trigger & it will stop anything in that group.
But simplest approach is to just hit ESC if you want to stop an active cue
but leave your cue list position alone.

There must be a simpler way, but try this (I think it works):
Q1 Group Cue - Fire all children simultaneously; set to auto-continue
Arm Cue targeting optional Audio Cue ("drop") - Pre Wait 0
Audio Cue 1 - Pre Wait 0
Disarm Cue targeting optional Audio Cue ("drop") - Pre Wait equal to Duration of Audio Cue 1
Q2 Start Cue targeting Main Cue List - Pre Wait equal to Duration of Audio Cue 1
Q3 Group Cue - Fire all children simultaneously
Stop Cue targeting Q2 - Pre Wait 0
Optional Audio Cue ("drop") - Pre Wait 0
Q4 Audio Cue 2 (or Group Cue, etc)
Fire Q1: the playback position sits on Q2 until either you press GO again (in which case Q3 fires and Q4 is loaded), or Audio Cue 1 completes, the Start Cue fires anyway, Q3 goes (but is disarmed) and Q4 is loaded.
Clear? Convoluted, yes...

Correction: sits on _Q3_
Next show is wireless for sure.
Thanks again.
