Check out myMIDI remotes on the App Store. You can control QLAB with MSC from myMSC, there's a midi over wifi and Udp midi that works with ipmidi.

A Qlab remote for Apple Watch is a great idea. AFAIK the myMDI remotes are only for iPAd or iPhone, not Apple Watch.

myMIDI remotes has 6 Apple Watch Apps since day 1 of the Apple Watch: All Stop MSC UDP, myMSC, myMSC GO, myMSC UDP, MSC GO UDP, myMSC All Stop. Both MSC Stops are free.  If you're looking for other MSC commands for the Apple Watch, let me know, I'll make it happen.

There is a delay if the iPhone app is not open since the current watchOS runs the code on the phone and not the watch. If you have the iPhone app open then the watch has very little latency.

The recently announced Watch OS2 becomes available in the fall and allows apps to run in the watch, so hopefully there will be whole bunch of watch native apps then.

It seems that the possibility the apple watch could send MIDI or OSC independently of a phone has not yet been exploited by any app programmers.

Dave Mickey of myGO myMSC fame says he might have a look at it soon.
