Has Figure 53 ever considered manufacturing hardware? It seems like an audio interface designed and built specifically for QLAB could be beneficial. Firmware updates as MacOS changes. Seamless software integration. Output to input ratio. The possible benefits seem endless. Apologies if this topic has been covered already.

I think there is already a lot of good audio interface that work very well with Qlab. What i really would hope would be a control surface, especially for lights with motorised faders. That would be a complete game changer for me.

Alec Sparks has a neat little motorized fader board here: https://www.stagehacks.com/store

It speaks OSC, MIDI, sCAN, and other protocols based on the profile you load onto it.

It looks like he's sold out at the moment, but it might be worth sending him am email to see when he'll have more in stock

Yes there is some options of motorized faders for lights but nothing really usable i think. There is no control for LED lights, scanner etc. We need motorized fader for the intensity but also a touchscreen for color picker, X Y positioning,... As far as i know, nothing exist on the market to make Qlab as practial (physically controlable) as a good physical console. Most of the time i create light using my physical console because it is so fast and, once i'm happy with what i have done, i have to recreate it with the console on the Qlab light dashboard which take me a lot more time. Ideally, all that should be done fast and just once.

Hard to imagine a bigger can of worms for a software maker like figure53 to sink int to than making audio interfaces. As much as it pains me to recommend any thing from Behringer the XR18 is a remarkably good 18 x 18 USB interface with an 18 x 8 mixer thrown in.

Hi everyone! Thanks for sharing my FADER_X products here, I've been getting a ton of positive feedback from designers who have used them. :D

Unfortunately due to everyone going on in the world, I'm having trouble sourcing the fader modules I use. I'm spinning up a process for machining and assembling my own motorized fader modules in the next few weeks. Once that's up and running, FADER_X products will be back in stock!

And yes, a QLab Lighting controller is high on my list of things to work on. A touchscreen color picker and encoders would be awesome.

(PS, if anyone knows a shop with a few boxes of "X32MOTORFADER" sitting on a shelf, please let me know!)
