This is a continuation of a previous thread that has since changed topics, so I thought I'd start a new one:

I'm using QLab for show control, but sending to MadMapper via Syphon for some of the more involved video mapping. In order to make that work (thanks to everyone in the group for the advice), I'm having to create a series of presets in MadMapper to account for the changing inputs/configurations from QLab.

I've setup MIDI control in QLab that automatically advances the preset in MadMapper, but for some reason, it is advancing to the preset number that is exactly double that of the MIDI Control Change Value I set in QLab. For example: if the MIDI cue in QLab has a Control Change Value of 4, MadMapper jumps to Preset 8. If the MIDI cue has a Control Change Value of 7, MadMapper jumps to Preset 14.

I'm doing this all through "Musical MIDI Controls" as opposed to "MIDI Show Control." Is that the problem? Any other reasons why this might be happening?

I think you are now in the territory of Mad Mapper and would be better asking this on the MadMapper forum.

I tested this for you using the previous version of MM with the beta Midi controls enabled and it worked as expected. So Qlab is sending the correct MIDI.

Bearing in mind you are trying to interface the program's using unfinished features in MM you have 2 options..

Use the previous version and enable the Midi features and google one of the hundreds of pages that will show you how to set up IAC busses, or use the current version with the direct MIDI routing and implement a workaround for the cc anomaly e.g only use even number presets..

It might be worth trying using midi cc 3.

A third option would be to conform all the material to one MadMapper preset (which is what I did on my project), but you probably already thought of that.

Hi guys. I have a thread posted on the MadMapper forum, and have touched base with their support team. Waiting to hear back.

This is what I've tried:

Channel: 1
Number: 101
Value: 1 (this is supposed to designate what preset in MadMapper should be selected, but unfortunately it's selecting the exact double of that)

Mic, do you mean changing the Control Number to 3 as opposed to the 101 I had it on? I tried that to no avail.

Would it be worth changing the MIDI setting from "Musical" to "MIDI Show Control?" I know nothing about that.
