I am trying to minimize things that are hooked into my laptop running QLab,

I am trying to control a dimmer pack like this one without having to get a USB to DMX interface and
a wireless DMX transmitter/receiver combo.

This WiFi DMX combo device says it outputs to standard DMX. The only question I have is can you talk to it
through its standard mobile app or can you send DMX or ArtNET over wifi to talk to this WiFi DMX box?

I guess the backup solution would be to use a ArtNET box that has ethernet in and hook an Airport express or
similar bridge to connect to the ArtNET to DMX translator connected to the Dimmer pack

I’m fairly certain that FlareCon device is used as a bridge between widow devices running custom apps and taking to D-Fi compatible fixtures.

Using ArtNet over WiFi is definitely a way to accomplish this, but if this is a performance I’d recommend against it.

What exactly are you trying to power. A relay may be a easier solution or better yet a wireless arduino.

Hi Charles

The FlareCon box is not an art-net device. QLab will not be able to talk to it.

The way to do this is to connect the Max to a wifi network and connect an art-net node to the wifi router.

Why are you trying to reduce physical connections to your Mac?
