I'm interested in having an image continuously spin on the y axis.. how would I make a rotation continuously loop?

Hi Jason,

In order to rotate more than 180 degrees you’ll need to switch the rotation type from “3D orientation” to one of the 3 single-axis types: X, Y, or Z

(See attached screenshot.)

Once you’ve switched this, you can enter any number of degrees for the rotation, to make it spin a long time around the given axis.

Best,

I made a quick sample workspace to show one way of getting this done.

It uses two fade cues that alternate fading the video cue. In my case, the video cue is a text cue for simplicity's sake, but you can easily replace that and switch it from Z-axis to Y-axis rotation to meet your needs.

Lastly, the two fade cues and start cue are wrapped into a group to give you a unified place to pause, start, or stop the rotational animation.

One thing to potentially improve here would be to remove the additional fade cue. Right now one rotates 360 degrees, then another fade cue rotates another 360 degrees, followed by a start cue. Without the second fade cue, the group can't be restarted. That's as far as I got.

Good luck!

I think you are overcomplicating this

You only need one fade cue and one group

This will do an hour
