Hello,

The theatre I work for will soon get some new Sensor3 dimmers and those work either by DMX 5 pole, Net3 ( ETC own lighting protocol) or sACN.

Are there any plans to include sACN support in Qlab lighting?

Thanks for your answers.

Good morning Yannick,

sACN is on our (very) long list of things to explore and consider, but we don’t have any specific news or expectation for it at this time.

It’s good to know that it would be useful to you!

Thanks for your answer.

Also good to know that it is on your list. I'm very much looking forward to this feature. Thanks!

Until it is native in qlab, you could try using open lighting architecture (https://www.openlighting.org/ola/) to translate from artnet to sacn (or any other supported protocol).

I've used it on a few projects and found it to be pretty solid. You could run it on the same device as qlab, or on another computer such as a raspberry pi.

Thanks for the tip!

I'll look into it.
