Hi. Is it possible to do what's shown in the video with Qlab? It's a Resolume plugin called Slide that animates, for example, a banner by looping a static image. I'm currently displaying static images on LED banners and I'm wondering if it's possible to animate them with a slide effect, looping through the different banners like the Resolume plugin does.

Thanks.

Not entirely Glitch free but the best you can do entirely within QLab is copy the cue and offset by the banner width, then fade a group containing the 3 video cues followed by snapping back to the original geometry and restarting.

Better to prerender (In After Effects it's a distortion effect  called offset, but you can also just animate 2 images) and then loop the video in QLab  which will be smoother.

Here's another workspace that does multi image scrolling.

I'm having trouble getting the slide effect to work. Could you guide me with an example using the attached Workspace?

Thank you very much

You can make your life much easier if you make the source footage for your banners the same size as your stage, e.g. Banner 1 is 4752x144

I have simplified your workspace down to 1 banner and 1 surface, but it shoiuld be obvious how to expand it to your full 3 banner workspace.

Workspace and Screen recording attached. The motion is a lot smoother than the screen recording suggests but getting 20s screen recordings to fit into the 5MB limit of the Google Group is a challenge.

I still think the best way of doing this is to prerender the scroll and just loop the video cue.

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed.
You're absolutely right, and I agree. Creating the loop is much easier, but the stage manager is used to using Resolume and knows that some effects are triggered with a single click, and he asks me for similar things. It would be great if these kinds of effects could be created with scripts, but the way you've created the loop is perfect.
Thanks again.
