Hey Y'all

I have ordered some more QWidget controllers for a project,  but no response as yet - people seem to have had joy contacting from here - anyone know what's happening with them?

Hi, just to add our experience with this company. We are a large theatre in Sweden and have multiple stages so we decided to buy two of these remotes.
The communincation was really very poor almost non-existant - especially after the order was placed. Finally after a mistake in shipping and the units finally arriving after several months of silence we tried them and found them to be sturdily built but ultimately we stopped using them as during critical shows it was quite easy to accidentaly hop out of the firing cues mode. Thereby jumping into an edit type mode and so one had to do double-presses and such to get back to fire a cue. Sometimes you press the Fire Cue button and nothing would happen.
Maybe it was operator fail but we never really got them to sing.
The idea behind them is great, the build quality excellent but in the end we felt that the whole experience was more hassle than it was worth.
I don't in any way want to disparage a small company that probably works very hard - I even think they just make the units to order hence the long wait - but there are many areas they could improve to make customers feel satisfied.
Kind regards, J

If it's been more than 30 days since your order with no response, shipment, or offer to cancel the order due to it being on back order, this is a clear violation of the FTC's Mail Order Rule.

Contact your credit card company to issue a chargeback, report Widgeteering (who is notorious for this for many, many years, as the archives here clearly show), and order something from a more reputable company. I strongly recommend Figure 53's own Sam Kusnetz's side venture, Team Sound, http://teamsound.nyc, personally, with the caveat that Sam is a friend and a former co-worker of mine. But he makes good stuff, and I feel uniquely positioned to say that since I was first person to make and sell MIDI/USB remotes for QLab over a decade ago, as the since retired Duck's Echo Sound, LOL.

Friends don't let friends buy from Widgeteering.

YES Team Sound!

I bought their older Go Box 6 in 2015 and it’s be flawless. I’ve never needed customer service, but I did have a number of questions before I made that initial purchase, and Sam’s responses, as always, were super helpful and lightening fast.

You figure53 folks could give a masterclass on customer service.

That’s a bummer. I really like the buttons and the layout on the Widgeteering.

Disappointing that Widgeteering didn't get their act back together.
This is a shame. I also like the layout and function. Haven't seen a box I'd prefer.
...And need another for the edit machine.

I'll add another +1 for Team Sound and the Go Box.  They are very well made and very solid.  Support is great if you run into issues.  Every performance space I run has them now.  They are also great for accessibility for people with various disabilities to let them still operate a show flawlessly.

I'm not sure why people continue to order from Widgeteerring when year after year similar posts show up with nothing but issues.  Just go direct to Team Sound and save yourself the hassle.
