hey all,

Want to use an Iphone 4 as a live video feed device. And trying to
get QLAB to recognize it as a video device. Any ideas how to do that?

Thanks!

Eureka!!!!! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

It works :-). I have not had time yet to see if I can get it to be a
"camera" cue. But I can just have it on the projector screen and close
all the other videos.

I use IWebCamera, and it works. Simply, iphone battery goes to zero
quite quickly.

wow that's a good one !! my first thought was --- the performers can have the iphone(s) on stage --- thanks for sharing that. our audiences love gimmicks like this ......

i know i sound like a broken record .. but .. i'm really looking forward to some kind of camera cue // video input cue that plays nice with lots and lots of different "live" video sources. can the quartz workaround be integrated into a v3 input cue ??

The last time I checked (a couple of months ago), the Quartz Workaround itself had broken on more recent versions of OS X, presumably because they're hitting the same bugs that we are.

There essentially isn't a way to have it play nice with lots and lots of different cameras because Apple hasn't given us a way to do that except with code they are promising to remove from the operating system at some unknown (possibly soon) time.

The glimmer of hope: OS 10.8 Mountain Lion is in beta right now, and may have made progress on this front. We'll be investigating.
