Hi,
I've struggled on this for a week now, but I just can't make it work. I hope that there is a simple solution that I just didn't think about (I'd be more than happy to get someone to point out that 'the power is off' or something silly like that... ). I'm grateful for any advice.
I just got a new computer, a MacBook Pro that came with OS 10.9.2. It has a HDMI output that I connected to a projector (Panasonic PT-EZ570E, but I also tried other screens with same result).
When I play video clips from Qlab, routed to the projector, the clips would play in the built in screen of the MacBook instead.
In system preferences I can see the two screens, and I set resolution etc. If I set the two screens to Mirror Displays, they (naturally, as they should) shows the same material on both screens and video from Qlab are playing.
In Qlab settings and 'Video Surface', I can also see the two displays, but when I e.g. shows the grid in Edit Surface, the grid would only shows at built in screen, even if it should appear on projector.
The problem occurs for all workspaces (old, that worked on other computers, and new).
I've updated and reinstalled Qlab, rebooted computer, disconnect and connect projector in all imaginable orders. I've tried SwitchResX and I've tried different resolutions. All applications I've tried (except Qlab) sends video to the HDMI output without problem. The OS displays the desktop to the projector.
Here's a sloppy screen dump to show what isn't working (it's a dump of the built in display. All settings are set to route to the projector, but still the image displays at the built in screen)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsgwX8aewxcOne option could be to send out through syphon from Qlab and use another mapping program just to route the video from syphon to HDMI output. Any advice for any free application to do that?
