I wonder how many DMXIS cues you are averaging on a song.
If it's just a handful, you could just skip the (play a midi file)
approach & just put in midi cues with prewaits (fire all children at once)
& then your light cues would also follow the music.
Of course if you've already programmed lots of cues, exporting what you've
done would be the way to go.
If you only have a few cues per song & did program then as MIDI cues
instead of playing a pre programmed midi file, you would have the
flexibility of adjust your timing in Qlab which may be a desirable option.
EX:
audio cue 1
midi cue 1 prewait 5 sec
midi cue 2 prewait 25 sec
etc...
My experiments with DMXIS & Qlab were single triggers via a MIDI cue in
Qlab so that is how I would be going about things.
Also, if you've done a bunch of programming in Logic & to save having to
reprogram, I would think that you might want to post something to the
Logic userlist & see how to export the right type of file instead of
moving to a different platform. That seems like a failure of Logic that
should be able to be overcome.
Maybe you could send me a file that you're working from for Logic & I can
see what happens on my end. If you have the ability to post the whole
folder somewhere via FTP, I'll download it.

Hi Marian,
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you about this! I'm afraid this is starting to get beyond my expertise in Logic, but here's what I've been able to find.
On closer inspection, it looks like Logic isn't actually preserving channel settings for tracks or for regions, which surprises me. Instead it looks like you have to assign the channel to the notes within the region.
One way to do this is to select the region and go to Window -> Event List, and edit the channels for all the notes individually. Alternatively, you can process them all at once by selecting them, going to Window -> Transform, and setting up a transformation that will fix all the channels to the value you need. (I've attached a screenshot that shows the channel getting set to 8.)
Like I said, this is a bit beyond my normal Logic experience, so there may be an easier way of doing things. But I hope this helps anyway!
Maybe you could send me a file that you're working from for Logic & I can
see what happens on my end. If you have the ability to post the whole
folder somewhere via FTP, I'll download it.
