I did find a programmable bluetooth presenter from Targus (AMP11) but
it is too unreliable. My Mac constantly looses it's connection. Often
mid-show. I have also looked at OSCulator but from what I can
understand it uses MIDI signals.
I wouldn't mind to use an rf presenter instead of bluetooth, much like
the ones made by Kensington or Logitec, but I haven't found a model
with programmable buttons. The standard presenters only send the arrow-
key commands, which are disabled in QLab so I would need to change
that functionality in the presenter.
This is turning into a real problem for me. Does anyone know of a
reliable remote I can use which is not a cellphone or a MIDI remote?
If nothing else, I might revert to this: http://www.xkeys.com/xkeys/xkfoot.php
. It probably works well but I would prefer not to have cables running
across the stage. People are bound to trip over them.
Anyone?
Best,
Henrik Fexeus

MIDI is by far the most reliable remote method in my experience.

I've made some custom solutions out of keyboard emulators and rf
remote pendants (if you need wireless). But as Steve points out, this
is a costly endeavor compared to the midi license. That said, check
