I try to make Qlab and Dlight together.
I rent a pro midi license.
I open "Sound and MIDI utility" in Application/Utility on your mac,
and flag IAC driver to turn on Intercommunication Application.
Still, I don't understand how to assign a cue to Dlight. In any midi
cue in Qlab, there is still no output device.
Maybe, I am missing a step.
Thanks.
Bob

Once you set up a virtual port, it should show up in QLab the next time
you start it. (not sure it will show up without a restart of Qlab).
From there assign your midi cue (per cue as I recall to allow for
flexibility) to the virtual output port & then set up the other
application to accept the virtual port as an input.
Of course the midi cue needs to be configured to send out what Dlight is
expecting to get. This information should be listed in the Dlight manual.
Or you might have to glean it from trying things.
If you're already doing all of this, I don't know what else to offer.
Maybe post your workspace to a place where we can open it & see what
you've got.
I'm not sure what Dlite is but I've had success getting Qlab to trigger
DMXIS with the same approach.

Have you opened the Workspace Preferences, clicked on "MIDI" and dragged a yellow patch cable from "Patch 1" to "IAC Driver IAC Bus 1" (or whatever it is called on your Mac)?
If you've not made a "MIDI Device Assignment" in this way then your MIDI Cues will show "[no output device]" for all 12 available Output Patches. The tooltip that pops up when you hover over the red cross that indicates a broken cue is very informative in this case too: this should be the first place to look for help when something isn't working.

I did not get to pull the yellow line. I thought I had just the click
on the patch, but it did not do anything.
I will rewrite if I encounter other problems.
Thanks again.
