I currently have my Qlab set up to trigger lighting cues through midi control on my lighting console for dance shows.  I create a group for each dance piece putting the audio file at the top and creating midi go cues with pre-weight times.  My only problem is then if I want to look at one of the go cues I always have to start the group from the beginning.  I would love a way to be able to scrub through the group triggering all cues as I go.  Does anyone have a way to make this easier.

Hi there,

Which version of QLab are you using?

Hi Samuel,

The easiest built-in answer is the load-to-time tool (Command-T), which allows you to load to any time in a cue sequence starting at the selected cue.

Starting in QLab 4.1, a “start all” group can be scrubbed in the active cues view — however, as I’m playing with it now using a start-all group with cues that have pre-waits, I’m noticing that there are some bugs in the implementation that prevent it from being used in the way you describe.  (I’ll file an issue in our tracker so we work on fixing those.)

You may also find something useful in the list archives, as related questions come on the list periodically.

Best,
Chris

I did it creating a timecode trigger.
If you need more details, ask me.
