Import mask into video

I have a mask that I have created from photoshop that I would like to use as a mask in a bunch of video screens.   How can I do that??????

If  you want to put a mask on a surface e.g to create a soft edge. You go to settings/video edit surface and drag a mask into the mask well.
Your mask should be black and white, white allows video to show, black blocks video,  anything in between changes opacity.

You can also use images with alpha transparency as video cues on top of other video cues. These masks should be transparent in the areas you want video to show through.

I don’t want to create a soft edge I would like to import a mask from photoshop that is in the correct colors and scale into QLab.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Can you say more about what this mask is meant to do?  I'm not familiar with masks involving colors.

This is what it is, but I am having difficult inserting it into a cue list.

Do you mean you just want a color  .png image with alpha transparency in a cue list. In which case the second example in my previous post will work.

Hi Marilyn.

The file you attached to your post is just a QLab workspace with no media included. Assuming your video file is a video with scratches over a transparent alpha your video needs to be Prores 4444, millions of colors +  with a premultiplied alpha (on a black background) As in this screen recording.
