Clicking/pop when looping slices

Hi all,

I had always thought that QLab automatically did a little crossfade for loops and slices as I've never had a problem with editing loops on the fly. Now i'm experiencing the expected clicks every time a slice is vamped. Have I been imagining things the whole time that the crossfade existed or was I really lucky before that it has never occurred to me until now (and somehow I lost my luck). Any workaround for this besides zooming in really deep or to export complete loops?

Thanks to all. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi Ning,

Alas, a figment of your imagination — QLab doesn’t do any crossfade on loops. You’ll need to set the loop point precisely to avoid artifacts.

Best,

A teensy crossfade option would definitely be a very useful feature and save lots of time rendering loops out in a DAW.

@Jeremy: where's the *like* button on this. Yeah it would be a beautiful option to have next!  *hints to Chris* :D

I always found the "search zero crossings" option in Logic to work really well when creating loops and edits, and think something like it would be a super addition to QLab. I find myself spending a lot of time trying to create pop-free loops in QLab by zooming all the way in on the waveform to try to find those zero crossing points myself, with only limited success.
