Haven't seen anyone post about this -

AJA recently released their new TBolt to HD/SD SDI and HDMI converter box. Very slick for interfacing with most pro-grade projectors or video systems. Embedded audio is an option too
I have one on order and will report back if anyone is interested

Tyler, sorry this devices will not work with Qlab2-3 as a screen output (much like many other devices that are simialur) due to lack of Open GL.  Qlab Figure53 folks (Chris) I think would agree with me…..so save Tyler some money please confirm.

I did hear it was in the "works" for such a device to work perhaps????

It will not work as an extended desktop output, last I checked, it is designed for editing apps like FCP Avid or premiere…

Greg and Bill are correct, sadly this doesn't work. Any reason why QLab can't be made to support professional devices such as this?

Using as output for Premiere for now...I do hope that devices like this would be supported as outputs for software like QLab in the future. extended desktop method of displaying anything other than powerpoint just seems so 90s

QLab uses the GPU in order to achieve the range of effects and transformations it is capable of in real time.

Devices such as the AJA and the Blackmagic products are simple format converters which are supplied with a video stream in one of a fixed set of formats and present it on the output.

Thus even if the AJA and black magic devices could be supported the range of what you could do with them vs a video card output would be very limiting.

If you need SDI outputs Kramer do a range of format converters and you can achieve display port to SDI with the right boxes.
