Ironic that this came up as I just wrote to Chris the other day and suggested that a search and replace function/tool for missing file references would be a good add to QLab so end users don’t have to play these games to move a show.

Not everyone is as organized as you are Jeremy. J For example something that would break it, I just had a designer come in and use some of the needle drop on the record and surface noise samples (for a phonograph) that I had on the hard drive from the previous show that I had designed. Both the show I designed and the guest designed show have to move to another theatre this summer. If I hadn’t bundled those files would be missing because they just dragged them right out of my show folder and put them into their cue list. And the only real season I knew about this is because he was kind enough to ask my permission before using them.
I know I have broken it in the past as well. I don’t remember what I did now. But I usually do what you mention and create a folder for the show I drop all of my audio into. The issues I ran into in the past might have been back with QLab version 1 though as it’s been a while and until recently I’ve not been a regular user of QLab.
But I will check out your method and see if I can replicate any problems.
Thanks for advice,
