HI,
It would be quite handy to control a DMX-based device, doing some drops from the ceiling.
Basically, it lets a „stone“ drop into a basin, filled with water.
So, my questions:
- what equipment I need to buy, sort- or manufacturer-wise?
- do I need a „Lights“-license to do DMX-cues?
Normally, we’re using two machines, one as Main, the other one as Backup, and switch the control-outputs of these machines by using the „Override Controls“-window.
Will the „Art-Net“ button in this window do this job for the DMX-cues?
As alternative on buying a „Lights“-license:
I also could send a MSC-cue to our lights-console (GrandMA 2), which already „speaks“ DMX.
I already fire around 20 light-cues on it due to synchronization of sound and light by MSC-cues.
Any users of a GrandMA 2 here?
Could that MSC-cue be „translated“ into a DMX-trigger within the GrandMA?
