Hello all

macOS Catalina (10.15) is coming this fall, bringing with it a number of changes surrounding security. In general this is good news, but these specific changes will require us to adjust our build and release process, and these changes will take time to implement and test.

Therefore, please understand that QLab is not yet Catalina-compatible, and will not be until we say so. If you are running a show now, or if you are going to be opening a show anytime soon, please DO NOT upgrade to macOS Catalina.

Going forward, QLab 4.5 and later will definitely be compatible with macOS Catalina, but earlier releases of QLab may not be. You will be able to open older versions of QLab on Catalina, but you’ll see a scary message about malicious software. To proceed, you can right-click (or control-click) on QLab, choose “Open”, and then confirm that you really want to open it.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us at sup...@figure53.com

Thanks
Sam
