I am still on Qlab 4, does Qlab 5 support .m4p files? If not is there a way to use .mp4 files? How are others doing it?

Thanks
Brad

I'll downloaded version 5.3.3 to try it out and it won't let me add m4p files from iTines. Does QLab need to be licensed first?

Licensed version 5.3.3 and still can't add m4p audio files. Are you sure it's supported?

m4p is a copy protected file from iTunes. You can only play those through iTunes. Those files need to be purchased or converted to something that’s not protected.

mp4 are supported by QLab, I believe. You mentioned both file types in your original post.

My goodness, I’m sorry!

I am slightly dyslexic and read “m4p” as “mp4” which, of course, is something different. The similarity of those two file suffixes is very frustrating for a person like me.

If you upgraded based on my dyslexic advice and wish for a refund, contact me off-list and I’ll be happy to make it so.

Apologies!
Sam

OK, I was worried you’d bought a full license!

I refunded the $5 anyway, though… nobody should have to spend money just to reverse two characters in a file name suffix.

To the author of this thread. Why dont you just convert These m4p files ? A quick google search revealed hinderst of online converters. I am assuming here you did buy the Music that you want to use in qlab.

With King regards
