Hello,

soon I have to run a show with up to 300 Que's (micro mutes, light and sounds quest)

I want to program and control everything from qlab timed to music. I have made the setup to control my x32 Producer but can't get it to work.

Hardware:

A M-Audio anniversary edition Midi interface to my Macbook. Works in a loop (when connecting output A to input B, I can trigger Sound in qlab itself. So I can Assume the output signal of the Qlab is correct??)

The command seen in the pick below should 'mute' channel 1 (fader one// headset one// micro 1)

I have a straight connection output A --> Din 5pin cable --> Midi in on the behringer X32 producer.

The settings on the X32 Producer:

So i'm choosing Midi Generic (Musical Midi?)
Midi in/out connection
CH Mut CC recieve

But it doesn't respond.... :(:(:(:(

Not sure what you're trying to do. Are you wanting to trigger scene changes or snippets on the X32?
Believe you should set the board to listen to Program Changes for that (scenes on midi channel 1 / snippets on midi channel 2)

MIDI Type: MIDI Voice Message ("Musical MIDI")
Command: Program Change
Channel: 2
Program Number: <X32 snippet number>

Do make sure that your X32 is configured to respond to incoming Program Change MIDI messages.

If I remember from the X-32, you want to use MIDI Control Change -
Mute for Fader channel 1 on the console ought to be
Control Change (not Note on or off)
CH 02, Control Number 0, Control Value 127 (for Mute On, 0 for Mute off)
like this:

However, I'm working from memory and an old x-32 manual copy.

There's a chart of CC values here

As a new setup, osc might prove easier to wrap your head around as it's easier to read. The producer and QLab both support that. Just a thought.

Let me know if you'd like a QLab .cue file with working examples of both MIDI and OSC control of the X32. I'm happy to share it if it would be helpful to you.

Does it need musical MIDI or MSC (midi show control). It's audio gear so it might be configed for the former, but I use the latter to talk to light boards all the time. I know the old Yamaha D2k boards only used musical midi...

I'm just getting in to this now and I would LOVE a working .cue file with MIDI and OSC to learn from.
