to QLab
Hi all,
I am a long time QLab user and I love it but work as a volunteer in a community theatre and I always struggle to get the less tech-savvy volunteers to have a go with QLab.
So I wrote a simple DMX interface for them to control the lights with a more familiar 'fader' interface.
But, it turns out it works great alongside QLab so I want to share it here.
My workflow is to use DMXDesk (my creation) standalone, to save scenes. You can then trigger those scenes from QLab in the normal way - so you don't use QLab for the actual scene set up - you use DMXDesk, but QLab triggers the scenes with all the control and sequencing we know and love.

Works on the same Mac as QLAB, or on a second Mac, or (untested) but it should also work on a PC. Note, ART-Net only for the DMX controller.

Happy to talk about it if anyone has any questions.

Andrew.
