Hi!!. I need a script to auto crossfade between any video. For example. I was on video number 7 and when I clicked on video 1 of the cue list, 7 would fade out and stop.
An example is seen in the video. Normally I use Qlab in events and when it comes to doing the fades between videos I lose a lot of time since there is never any time. Mic pool gave me a script some time ago but when I formatted my computer I lost it.

One great thing about using a Google Group is that its archive is very searchable:

Down toward the bottom of those results, I found this:

I think we are confusing 2 separate things here.

Scripts allow you to create a fade in and a fade out for cues

For random access crossfading videos you don't need scripts

Set all your videos to bottom layer in the geometry tab

Set all your videos to fade and stop peers in whatever time you want for the crossfade, in the triggers tab

You can batch edit both those properties by selecting all your videos and editing in the inspector.

One downside (along with working best with full-screen images/video only) is that all your videos have to be in the same group or cue list, with start cues triggering them if you want your video to not fade and stop other cues in the main cue list.
But I still do it this way most of the time. And fading to black or out of black is a lot easier using a cue of a full-screen black image.

Would be great if peers could be set to "all other video cues with the same output stage" regardless of their location!
