Hi, i'm wondering if it is possible for the LS9 to fire cues in QLab using a user defined key.

Not completely sure on the LS9. On the M7 you need to set things like effects bypass buttons or mute masters to send midi control changes (in setup-> midi-> control change). Whatever you aren't using otherwise. In QLab, make the velocity of the control change 128, which will let it fire each time (effectively ignoring the incoming velocity).

This is the response I received from Figure 53

Hello Brenden-

1) In the DISPLAY ACCESS section, press the [SETUP] key repeatedly to access the MISC
SETUP screen within the SETUP screens.
2) Move the cursor to the MIDI SETUP popup button, and press the [ENTER] key to access the MIDI SETUP popup window. In the MIDI SETUP page you can select the type of MIDI messages that will be transmitted and received, and choose the port that will be used.
3) You'll see the Port/Channel box at the top of the screen. There's a great troubleshooting tool here too- If the LS9 sees MIDI, there will be a tiny green light next to the word "Signal."
4) To specify the port that will transmit or receive each type of MIDI message, move the cursor to the transmit (Tx) or receive (Rx) port selection box, use the dial or the [DEC]/[INC] keys to specify the setting, and then press the [ENTER] key.
5) Assign an unused input channel to spit out MIDI Note On commands. Do this by using the dial or the [DEC]/[INC] keys to select the MIDI message transmit (Tx) channel and receive (Rx)
channel.

6) Set a User defined key to turn that channel off and on. Basically, the user defined key will be your GO button.

On the Qlab End:
1) Go to Workspace Settings -> MIDI Controls
2) Next to "Listen on MIDI channel:" set the dropdown menu to Any.
3) Check off "Use 'Musical' MIDI Controls.
4) Next to "GO," set the command to Note On. Hit Done to return to your workspace.
5) Select a cue in Qlab and look in the Inspector under the Triggers tab, you can check the box labeled "MIDI Trigger" and set a MIDI message type. Set the message type to Note On. The Note and Velocity can be any number above zero. (A note set to zero is always note off.)

Hi
Unfortunately we can not configure the LS9 keys (defined key) to trigger QLAB cues,
The same occurs in the M7CL.
Only 01V and PM5D will be possible.
