Hello,I would like to ask which is the safest way to hook a macbookpro (Qlab) up to a Yamaha 01v96i.The system is specified for theatrical applications, numerous loudspeakers on stage for sound effects ,microphones, and scene changes on the console. Is Macbookpro 13.3 dual core i5 2.5ghz/4g/500g capable?I've read that I must check the disk's speed rpm.Should I trigger scenes changes, etc, on Yamaha from Qlab or vice versa? Will I be able to manage it buying only a 2 output sound card and making the output routing not from Qlab but from Yamaha? The budget is up to 5000eThanks in advance,Kp

Well, having the possibility to send both audio and midi data via usb and program a show without any third parts sounds amazing!I reckon is the best scenario for small theaters and low budget productions.

Yes, it looks a bit old compared to all those flashy touch screen consoles but that is an advantage too; almost everyone can work on a 01V and it's not a christmas tree in the middle of the venue. For me it's a winning combination (Qlab and the 01V96i) but then again, I tour with different shows (and take it with me) so the weight and real estate are important for me.
If it's a long term investment you're looking at, I'd steer WAY clear of the Behringer until they have at least a few years out in the field and are proved reliable. "B" is always controversial, but what is pretty much fact is that in the past they have resorted to dubious business practices and inferiorly built products.
