Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has advice troubleshooting a pesky problem we're having with the DualHead2Go Digital ME. We're running a big show on one of the new "trash can" Mac Pro machines. We're on OS X Mavericks and in the mix are two of the DH2Go's.

When we plug in a DualHead (Thunderbolt port), the mouse intermittently freezes for a second or so, then continues on it's merry way.

As for what we've tried:
* Reinstalled Matrox software
* Updated the DH2Go firmware
* Using Bluetooth and USB mice
* SwitchResX

Any ideas? I doesn't seem to freeze content playback, but it's a worrisome glitch to see on our show machine.

Thanks!

I do not think it is a concern that the mouse freezes when plugging in a new display. The machine has to figure out where the mouse is on the new screen dimensions. Obviously plugging it in is not about show conditions since you would not do this mid show. Try plugging in before turning on system and you will not see glitch.

As Lucas said, this doesn't sound like a concern; it sounds like what
the OS normally does when a new display is connected.

That said, you should never connect or disconnect a display while QLab
is running. QLab only scans for displays on launch, for various
reasons, and displays appearing or disappearing while it's running can
cause all sorts of unexpected behavior, including but not limited to
crashes. Always make sure all your displays are connected before
launching QLab, and quit QLab before disconnecting any.

Thanks!

Hey Cy,

Did you find a solution for this?

(I understand what you mean, the mouse freezes every few seconds, not just when syncing a new display)

I have tried powered USB hubs in case it was a power supply issue,

Any other ideas?

Cheers

Hey,

I have just come across this on a trash can running 10.10. Three DHTGs ME. Periodic mouse freezes but no effect on content playback. As soon as the DHs are unplugged the mouse resumes normal function.

I also had this on 10.9 but this DID affect playback. Stuttering in time with the mouse skips.
