Hi Owen,
How are you connecting the computer and iPad together? Is this a wider network they’re connected to, or one that you’ve created specifically for using QLab/QLab Remote. If you’re using a wider network, it’s likely that whoever administers that network has ports 53000 and 53001, which QLab Remote uses to communicate, blocked.
We generally recommend getting your own wifi router and creating a dedicated network just for QLab, both to avoid this sort of issue, and to ensure maximum bandwidth and minimize interference. For the best performance, we recommend a wired connection from the computer to the router, with the only wireless link being to the iOS device.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help with, and have an awesome Thursday!
