I'm running the free version of Qlab 3 on my Macbook Pro, running VGA to a projector from my mini display port. I'm aware that I can only display video cues on one display. My laptop recognizes the second display, and Qlab shows two displays available in Qlab settings, but when either is selected as my default display, the cues are only playing on my laptop screen.

For example: in Qlab, I have "surface 1" and "Display" as options for my video cue display, but when "surface 1" and "Display" are set as my default display, it plays on my laptop screen in both instances.

Anyone encountered this, or have any advice?

Thank you!!

Have you changed the surface in the actual cue?
  • Select the cue in the clue list
  • Go to the Display & Geometry tab in the inspector at the bottom of the window
  • In the Video Surface dropdown, change your surface
