I have a music cue with 3 layers, and I want to loop a section. Is it possible to copy slice locations from one audio cue and paste them into another? On the other hand, can I enter a slice location with a text entry?

Thanks!

You can’t currently copy slices but if you click on the slice in the waveform inspector a text field will appear allowing you to enter a precise time.

Ah- thanks! It's not obvious that it does that since when you click on a slice, you're looking at a different part of the screen. Maybe a double click can pop up a text entry box?

Thanks for pointing this out!!

As a workaround I'd import the audio into logic (with the markers) and then copy and paste the markers from the global track into a different project for the other two layers or simply swap out the audio and re export w/ markers

Actually if by layers Jeremy means tracks and they all have the same loop points (which would make sense if he is trying to copy from one to another), I would just create a single multi-channel, interleaved .wav file and that way I only have to set the slice locations once and be done with it.

Hi Jeremy,

My ideas come late as i bought qlab yesterday. Maybe already solved.
My ideas about copying slices between "layers" or parallel audio targets is to copy the first target with the edited slices and then to reimport the audio files to that new entries.
