I posted this a while back but dont think It got resolved, so just trying again.

Using a brand new 2017 Mac run-in latest OS.

Connecting it to a Behringer X32 using USB direct to the X32 audio card.

Works fine to start with but slowly the audio starts to degrade to the point that its unlistenable.

If I have a list of lets say 10 songs, it plays songs 1 and 2 fine then song 3 starts to sound a little tetchy, by song 5 you'd have to switch it off.

Ive tried TWO new Macs and it happens on both, yet it doesn't on an older Gmac tower which runs flawlessly.

Therefore im starting to think it may be a darn usb-c thing. but just wondered if anyone had any similar experiences or any ideas how to resolve it as im unable to use my laptop for any shows.

Hi Carl,

I’m afraid I haven’t run across this before. If you like we could inspect the console logs to make sure it’s not originating at the QLab end, as follows:

- Launch QLab
- Go to Help —> Contact Support…
- Check the box to include console logs.

That said, it sounds to me like something happening downstream of QLab, particularly if it doesn’t happen if you play to the built-in speakers or a different output.

Best,
Chris

It sounds like the Audio Clock is drifting between Qlab and the Behringer.  Are you set to the same sample rate in the Behringer driver and the X32's control?  Do you have other audio applications open on the machine?

Hi guys,

I know this is a slightly older post but I've been coming across a similar issue using a Behringer FCA 1616 audio interface.
Starting on 44.1k we have had degradation on occasion and recently tracked it on AudioMidiSetup and the clock for the interface had changed to 96k, once flipped back everything worked as it should.
I am talking to Behringer about this at the moment, any updates or info from other users would be very useful.

Cheers,

Ivan Birthistle
