Hello,

I’m playing around, trying to rearchitect my streaming workspace. Is there a way to change the cue list focus? I tried using a Go To cue targeting the list/cart. I would love just “switch pages”, and not have to re-write a whole list/cart dynamically.

Thanks,
Alexander

to QLab
tell application id "com.figure53.QLab.4" to tell front workspace
set current cue list to first cue list whose q name is "Main Cue List"-- your cuelist name goes here
end tell

Hi, Alexander,

You can use /select/ in a network cue and target a cue in another list.  Just make sure you’re sending to localhost in the destination of the network cue.

Regards,

James

This method means that the "cursor" is moving within the cues of that list. How would one move the focus on the cue lists (such that the up and down arrows would move among the cue lists?)

Changing the keyboard focus to the  cue list window in order to use the arrow keys to change cue lists would be very tedious. You would have to use UI scripting to check whether the lists pane was open and open it if not, check you were in the correct list pane (active cues or cue lists) and toggle if not, and then select the current cue lis by simulating clicking it, and then after you have used the arrow keys  tidy up and restore the previous appearance of the workspace. Life is frankly too short, even within the altered time perception of the pandemic!

If you are prepared to use another pair of keys. e.g. Page up and Page Down then you can create 2 script cues with those keys as triggers.

For 'Move up the cue lists list' the script would be

tell application id "com.figure53.QLab.4" to tell front workspace

try

set thecuelists to cue lists as list

set theselected to current cue list

repeat with i from 1 to the count of thecuelists

if item i of thecuelists is theselected then

set the selected to item (i - 1) of thecuelists

end if

end repeat

end try

end tell

Down would be the same but using

set the selected to item (i +1) of thecuelists.

This works whether or not the cue list pane is open.
