[QLab] Dante

Has anyone successfully used Dante with QLab - and if so, with what other equipment? The last report I remember was that the Yamaha Mini-YGDAI cards were randomly - and intermittently - dropping or delaying audio (but this may have been fixed?)...

Hi Rich,

I am running several different theatre productions on Yamaha LS9 and
01V whit Mini-YGDAI cards whit out any problems for over a year now.
Also I am testing the Digico Dante card whit my Digico SD8 and again
no problems so far.

If you have any questions about using Dante whit Qlab feel free to ask
me.

I haven't managed to find out much about the DiGiCo offering yet: it's only available for SD-Rack & D-Rack, not DiGiRacks & MiNiRacks - right? How many channels? Sorry if I've failed to find the page on the website... Which version are you successfully testing?

The Digico Dante cards will work with the SD-Racks only (not backwards compatible with the DiGi-Racks). Each card lets you pick up 8 channels off the Dante network and drop 8 channels onto the network - i.e. 16 channels would require 2 cards. The cards are not released yet, I believe they've sent a few to Clair for testing, but to my knowledge there aren't any more in the wild at this point. I'm going to Digico later this month specifically to test Qlab into a SD7T via the Dante VSC. Fingers crossed, it's a great solution if all works as expected.
