I’m a Qlab licence holder for Video only at the moment and have been for years.

I’m now been asked if I want to control more of the sounds in shows (Covid cut backs I guess)

I’m looking into and playing around in the Qlab Demo mode which has allowed me to answer most of my questions. But I still need to know a bit more about Plugins, I can see the Apple library plugins only.  What I need to do is import things like guitar FX etc. the type of thing you would find in Logic Pro X. Would I be right in saying Qlab only shows Apple AU’s. Or would more popup if I had Plogue Bidule installed.

So the question is;

What do I need to do or get to insert guitar/vocal FX similar to those in Logic or other 3rd party amps etc…

Thank you in advance

QLab only recognises 64bit AU plug-ins, but they don’t need to be made by Apple.

They have to be installed in the correct folder.

Thanks Mic

So if I were to find 64bit plugins it would look like the below? At the moment I only see the Apple folder.

Yes,
For instance BlindfoldEQ by Audiothing.

Download here

This has a full installer, so will put the AU in the correct folder.

When you open QLab it should be in the hierarchical tree of your effects under Audiothing.
