DMX Dip Switches

Hi everyone

We're an escape room company from switzerland:

My question:

we use a lot of different dmx based effects, such as fog or special lightning in our shows.

now we have a special dmx water light lamp wich has dmx dip switches. somehow i can not control it over q lab... i tried other dip switch based products... same thing.

do i have to adjust some settings? or do dip switches not work with q lab?

normal digital dmx based machines work perfectly.

any suggestions?

First let's check your binary maths.

What DMX channel do you want to set, and what are the 8 dip switch settings you have currently?

i want it starting at address 65 / so i put dip 7 and 1 up the rest down

hello

sometimes you need to enable the last switch (10) to let the fixture know that you are using DMX

sometimes you also need to remove the reset the fixture (power off - power on) to let it acknowledge the dip switch setup.

so we tried to enable the last switch / Nr 10

it still didnt work.... for some reason all other dmx lights started to go crazy:)

our chain starts from a dmx enttec (fixed IP) to some eurolite dimmerpacks and fog machines and finally to this eurolite water effect lamp.

as soon as i plug the water effect lamp the chain the other lights go crazy...

maybe it has something to do with the adapter??

I would approach this by just seeing if the Eurolite H20  with it's somewhat unconventional 3.5mm jack DMX connection works as expected  when it is the only thing connected to your Enter. 

And then speak to Eurolight or your dealer about how it terminates the DMX chain it is on the end of.
