Playing a Cue list from within another Cue list

Hi Friends,

I'm trying to get my main Cue list to play my pre-show and post-show music that is in a different Cuelist from within the Main cue list. I either need a macro or a function I don't know about. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Hi Leigh,

You can do this by having a start cue that targets the other cue list.  You can either trigger the cue list directly, or cues within the list.

(If triggering the cue list itself, you can assign a cue list its own cue number in the right hand panel, and then use that number to target it in other cues.)

​Assuming you're on version 3 - 

open your Cue Lists display and expand the target list so you can see the cue you want to fire.

Then with focus on your main list, add a "Start" cue, and just drag the cue from the second list onto the start cue.

Or, enter the cue number for the cue you want into the target field on the start cue. QLab should keep you from using the same number for cues in different cue lists.
