Hi,

I didn't use QLab 3 so much, so forgive if my question is obvious.

I wish to change the playback rate of a running video. I can do manually changing the "rate" field in the "time & loops" tab of the video cue.
My questions are:
- I can't see any possibility to program a cue that changes that value - I thought a fade cue could have that possibility, but it hasn't. Is there another way?
- if it doesn't actually exist, does make it sense to ask for that feature?
- at this stage, is it possible to get that by applescript? Which would be the way?

regards
michele

Hi Mic,

Another Mic (Pool) reported this same issue a few days ago. I'll be looking into it.

Fading rate works if the video has an audio track, so you could put a silent audio track in as a workaround.

Nice, two users with the same nickname reporting the same issue almost simotaneously! :)

Another issue I noticed is: a fade cue whose target is group cue containing video cues, and attenpting to fade rate parameter, doesn't actually modify rates of each video/audio cue inside the group; this is unconsistent towards all other fade parameters behaviors - for instance, fading audio volumes of a groups, fades all audio of audio/video cues inside.

Ciao

As of 3.1.18 everything is still the same as it was 18 months ago.
Fading video rates requires that videos have an audio track
Fading rate of a group cue does not affect the rate of any cue (audio or video) within the group .

Both problems are easily addressed with workarounds

Adding an audio track to video files
Putting a fade for each cue you want to fade the rate for in a new fire all group to fade the rate for child cues within a group cue.
