Most WAV files should be playable by QLab. There might be some issues with files that are generated improperly, but that should be rare, and is not likely the case if the Finder can play it.
Have you confirmed that it's actually saying it's an invalid file, or is it simply showing a red X? (The red X will indicate a cue is broken, but it may be for a number of different reasons.)
Best,
Chris
it says it's invalid, but QLab does not accept the file by drag drop. Yes red x is also displayed, but I can't repair it.
Yes the finder is playing it. I tried to replace it by the file from the backup, but no chance. Only one file in a long list.
Thanx.

In this case it's possible that it is one of those rare cases where the file is malformed. Have you tried "cleaning" the file by opening it in an audio editor and re-saving it or exporting it to a different format like AIF?
Best,
Chris
