how to control Qlab from mainstage 3

Hello everyone,
can you advise me how to control Qlab from mainstage 3? I need to send a command from mainstage to make QLab play the video.

Send MIDI from MainStage via the IAC bus, and in QLab set the video you want to play to trigger off that MIDI

Thank you very much, I found your detailed instructions in communication. But now I have a new problem, when I click "Capture" in QLab, the video starts and plays over and over, can't turn it off, I have to restart my computer. The MIDI note is not captured. It looks like QLab is constantly receiving some MIDI data. Thank you for your help.

You have 2 options.

Either find out what is sending MIDI data continuously, which you can do by running 

https://www.snoize.com/midimonitor/

and stop it doing so.

Or

Instead of using the capture button to try and set the data for  the MIDI trigger, set it manually.

e.g. if you know you are sending MIDI note 60 ON with velocity 100  on channel 11 from MainStage

The other thing that might cause this is if you have accidentally set up a MIDI feedback loop,

e.g. A MIDI message  from mainstage is triggering a QLab cue  to send exactly  the same MIDI  message  that is triggering it!
