I’d like to suggest a feature that have been discussed many times in this group and could be a big step forward for QLab: native browser integration as a video input, with support for both transparency (alpha channel) and audio.
Many modern information and graphics systems—such as lower thirds, real-time data overlays, and other complementary visuals—are now delivered directly via browser implementations rather than traditional video sources. Currently, to bring those into QLab you typically need to rely on additional tools or hardware (NDI bridges, capture cards, HDMI/SDI loops, etc.), which adds complexity, latency, and failure points.
Other live production tools such as Wirecast, OBS, and vMix already provide this capability. Having similar support in QLab would position it even more strongly as a central hub for live performance media.
Thanks for considering this—would love to know if this is something on the roadmap, or if there’s interest from other users in seeing browser sources natively supported inside QLab.
