I’m asking here first as I don’t know if these are bugs or my stupidity…

Testing out using /playhead/previousSequence between two workspaces in v5 I found that:

  1. Allowing Control alone in OSC Access was not enough; for it to work the receiving workspace also had to allow View…?
  2. When it worked neither workspace recorded anything in the Workspace Settings window, which is different to how v4 logged every OSC message coming in (I saw only replies in v5, and only when the action was denied)

Does anyone have time to confirm I’ve misunderstood something before I go through the steps to file a support ticket?

Hi Rich,

The answer to 1. Is that yes, View access is the baseline access requirement for anything. We’ll be updating the UI to better reflect that if it is disabled the other access levels are also disabled.

For 2. Were you sending through localhost? I believe there is a change (possibly a regression) in v5 where OSC messages sent to localhost are not currently being logged.

We've identified and fixed both of the issues you found. They'll be addressed in the next release - QLab 5.0.4.
